Alumni are warmly invited to join us in Kuala Lumpur for a reception that will bring together senior members of staff, friends of the university, current students, and University of Hull graduates from across the region.

We’ll be at the Shangri-La Hotel for refreshments, networking and key talks on some of the biggest issues and global trends, and what they mean for Malaysia. With an exciting line-up of speakers, the chance to hear about the latest developments from campus, and the opportunity to make the most of your University of Hull connection with fellow alumni from across South-East Asia, you don’t want to miss out on a great evening in a truly exceptional venue.

Our exciting line-up of speakers includes:

  • Nurini Kassim, CEO of Bernama – Nurini has twenty years of extensive experience in management in various industries, including government institutions, financial regulations, information technology, and public relations and corporate affairs. Nurini will share her knowledge on the latest trends in society.
  • Joelle Pang – Tech entrepreneur Joelle has 10 years of experience in technology start-ups. She entered the tech scene in 2008 when fashion e-commerce was on the rise in Asia. Her business ‘Fastjobs’ has become Singapore’s leading online fashion platform catering to professional women.

Following on from recent trips to Hong Kong and Singapore, this is the latest in our series of events for alumni in South East Asia, and we’re very much looking forward to the opportunity to meet as many alumni as possible. So join us and let us know your thoughts on Hull, your career since graduation, and the topic of the day: Megatrends Malaysia.

  1. I have done my MBA in Melbourne 1993-1995, and have no connect with any alumni in Australia or Malaysia.

    I would like to attend, perhaps may be a bit too late. Please and would really appreciate if you may share the name of the speakers and their interesting topics. Thank you.

  2. I was a Uni of Hull MBA graduate back in 1996 but is not an alumni member yet.
    How do I get connected with the local association?
    Am currently residing in KK Sabah

    1. Hi Tam. Thanks for you enquiry, I’m not aware of an active group in the Sabah/ Sarawak region but there is an active chapter on the mainland, mainly in and around KL. There’s still time to book on for the event on Saturday 27th in KL by following the link in the article. If you are able to attend I can introduce you to the group in person.
