You don’t want to miss out on our big alumni event this year! We’ll be heading to Lord’s Cricket Ground, for dinner and music in the world famous ‘Long Room’. This is your chance to have a great night with your fellow alumni, supporters and senior members of staff at the University of Hull, including the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor.

A world famous venue, a legend of women’s cricket, a star of comedy,
music, memories and great food

Our host for the evening will be Ayesha Hazarika MBE (Law, 1996). A rising star of the British Comedy circuit, Ayesha was also former political adviser to Gordon Brown, Ed Miliband and Harriet Harman. As well as satirising the political scene, Ayesha also serves up serious political commentary across a range of news and current affairs programmes across both TV and radio.

Our special guest speaker for the evening will be alumna Clare Taylor MBE (Geography, 1986). Clare was the first woman to be named as one of Wisden’s Cricketers of the Year. A natural sporting talent, Clare was a member of England’s World Cup winning team in 1993 and achieved the rare honour of representing her county at both cricket and football.

£65 includes drinks on arrival and during the meal, a three course meal, live music and an opportunity to hear from some great alumni speakers.
