In March 2019 Professor Susan Lea hosted a meeting of the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle (VCC). Around 20 members were able to attend and were introduced to a number of our current students, and given a tour of campus. Highlights from the tour included the newly refurbished Sports and Fitness Centre, and a preview of one of our newest on-campus accommodation blocks, which officially opens this September.

During the afternoon VCC members attended a presentation by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dan Parsons (Director of the Energy and Environment Institute), and Professor Una Macleod (Dean of the Hull York Medical School). The theme of the day was around the student experience, and VCC members were very impressed with the facilities we now boast on campus. In this increasingly competitive sector the standard expected by today’s students has increased significantly over the years, and we are doing what we can to keep up with the demand.

Our VCC donors have been instrumental to our recent student support offerings, and with their help, we are going to achieve great things here at the University of Hull, Their insight and support certainly makes a difference to us, and our students, and we are extremely grateful to all of them.
