Alumni are invited to take part in a health and fitness initiative at the University of Hull early next year.
Get in Shape: New Year – New You is going to be a great antedote to any post-Christmas guilt about diet or not looking after ourselves, and will help you to blow away those January blues and make a positive start to looking after yourself in 2022.
GET IN SHAPE – NEW YEAR, NEW YOU!
STARTS THURSDAY 27 JANUARY AT 6:30PM AND RUNS FOR SIX WEEKS
There will be a mixture of online and in person sessions, giving you the chance to meet up with each other and share your experiences. As well as opportunities to try out new exercise classes such as Box-fit and Pilates, there will also be sessions on exercise and nutrition.
Spaces are limited for what promises to be a great six week program which is free for staff and alumni of the University of Hull – so if you are interested, register now!
REGISTERING TO TAKE PART
Jodie and Erika in the Sports and Fitness team are running these sessions, and are currently working on a booklet which will be shared with participants. You can see that booklet here for an idea of what is going to happen.
If you would like to take part, please contact: sport@hull.ac.uk or 01482 466 234
Very confusing as I contacted the trainers and the sessions are in person. I assumed I could take part online but this is not the case.

Hi Helena, sorry for the confusion. There are a mixture of online and in person sessions but participation requires both. We may look to do more fitness related activities in the future and if there is an appetite to do online sessions open it up that way. You can find some online fitness related sessions in our videos on facebook/hullalumni if that helps. We ran those sessions as part of our Olympic Challenge.
