Join us in Sanctuary Bar at Hull University Union for an evening of rock ‘n’ roll anecdotes and stories from Hull’s great impresario, Ed Bicknell.
As a student in the late 1960’s, Ed brought some of the most iconic acts in the world to Hull, including Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, Muddy Waters and The Who. After graduating, he became one of the big hitters in the music industry, securing a first UK tour for Talking Heads and the Ramones, and managing Dire Straits to superstardom. Come along and enjoy a ‘no-holds barred’ insight into the chaos, carnage and creativity of the last 50 years of the music industry.
After Ed’s talk, stick around and enjoy a drink and an evening of music from throughout Ed’s career.
