We are proud of the many women who have studied at Hull and who have made a difference in their workplaces, their communities and their industries. To celebrate our brilliant Hull alumnae, we’re renaming six of our lecture theatres after graduates who are making a huge impact as women in leadership. Join us in conversation with some of those being honoured, and let’s make a noise for the successes and achievements of the women in our University of Hull Community.

Now more than ever it is important for us to recognise both the outstanding achievements of women in the workforce, and also the challenges to achieving gender equality in the workplace. Hull alumnae are making a huge impact across many industries, and are ready to share their insights into women in leadership. Joining us for a lively discussion and an evening in conversation with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Susan Lea are:

  • Dame Jenni Murray DBE: Journalist and broadcaster
  • Ayesha Hazarika MBE: Comedian, broadcaster, political commentator
  • The Rt Hon Lady Justice Eleanor King DBE: Court of Appeal-Lady Justice of Appeal
  • Indhu Rubasingham MBE: Artistic Director, Kiln Theatre
  • The Rt Hon Baroness Bottomley of Nettlestone: The Chancellor

Following the discussion there will be a drinks reception in the Arts Cafe with the opportunity to network with fellow members of the University of Hull community.
